Museum
The Society has a vast array of historic objects, many of which are on display for visitors to see. Our premises include two historic homes, a barn, a log cabin, and a law office, and a bath house.
Josephine Jaquett Memorial Research Library
The library contains invaluable information on Salem County's history. The library collection consists of books and archival materials that aid researchers and genealogists in their search.
Educational Programs
The Society is honored to share the history of our community with local school children. We offer several educational programs that are sure to make a lasting impression on students.

The mission of the Salem County Historical Society is to seek, document, preserve, interpret and perpetuate Salem County’s heritage, and to enhance the awareness and appreciation of that heritage, through its research, collections, functions, exhibits, educational programs and publications, for the benefit of future generations and for the betterment of the community.
