Need the society to conduct research for you?
Our research services have changed. The focus of our part-time Librarian is on providing assistance to patrons in our reading room and on cataloging our backlog of collections in order to make them more accessible for everyone. Due to the increased volume of requests we receive and staff limitations, we must limit the amount of on-line genealogy research services we perform.
Email requests for genealogy research through this website will be limited to 2 hours. During that time, the Librarian will research one name in the following resources:
-Federal census 1830-1930
-Will index 1670-1900. (Wills prior 1804 are at NJ State Archives. Wills after 1804 are filed at the Salem County Courthouse)
-Family Files
-Marriage & Death Index of SCHS
-Cushing & Sheppard County History, 1883
-Bible Records
-Published family history
For local history research or image requests, the two-hour research cap also applies. The Librarian will consult as many sources as possible within the time specified by the request for up to two hours. It may take up to two weeks to receive a response to your request.

Once research is complete, you will receive an invoice to pay for your research via Paypal securely.
As soon as we receive your payment receipt, we will forward your information via email or US Mail depending on whether you requested print copies.
